1. Risk Acknowledgment & Assumption of Liability
• You assume all risks associated with your visit, including but not limited to slips, exposure to extreme temperatures, equipment malfunction, and actions of other guests.
• If pregnant, you acknowledge that “Aalto Community” facilities, including hot and cold treatments, may not be suitable for you. It is your responsibility to seek medical clearance before participating.
• You confirm that you have no pre-existing conditions that would put you at risk and voluntarily assume all responsibility for your participation.
• In case of illness or injury, Aalto Community may, at your expense, administer emergency assistance, though it is not obligated to do so.
• You acknowledge having been provided with, and having had the opportunity to consider and review, all the policies and procedures relating to the Premises and/or equipment and the Services, and you understand that the safe and proper use of the Premises, equipment or participation in the activity is dependent upon carefully following such policies and procedures.
• To the extent permitted by law, Aalto Community excludes liability for any injury or illness, limiting any guarantees under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (ACL) to the re-supply of services.
• Aalto Community is not liable for significant personal injury except in cases of reckless conduct as defined by the ACL.

2. Waiver & Release of Liability
• You release and hold harmless Aalto Community, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or demands arising from your participation.
• You agree to indemnify Aalto Community against any losses resulting from actions taken in breach of this waiver.

3. General Conditions of Entry
• Entry is restricted to individuals 16 years and older.
• You must follow all staff instructions. Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.
• Aalto Community reserves the right to refuse entry or service to anyone at its discretion.
• By entering, you consent to security video surveillance in public areas.
• Promotional images or videos may be taken. If you do not wish to be included, please provide a written request.

4. Health & Safety Restrictions
• Risks may be elevated for certain individuals due to the physiological and psychological responses associated with Cold Water Immersion (CWI), which include but are not limited to:
o Shock responses: hyperventilation, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, and, in extreme cases, cardiac arrhythmias
o Respiratory changes/gasping: increased risk of gasping and inhaling water due to loss of breathing control
o Cramps and muscle spasms
o Hypothermia and/or frostbite: because of excessively cold water or prolonged exposure
o Panic attacks
• You must not use the facilities if you have:
o Cardiovascular or any heart conditions
o Chronic health conditions
o Consumed alcohol or have a history of alcohol abuse
o Diabetes
o Haemophilia, fever, or insensitivity to heat
o Infectious disease, cold/flu symptoms, respiratory infection or fevers
o Insensitivity to heat
o Joint injuries
o Neuropathy, Parkinson’s, MS, or lupus
o Seizures
o Severe untreated asthma
• Pregnant individuals are strictly prohibited from using hot or cold therapies, including saunas and cold plunges, due to risks of overheating or uterine contractions.
• You confirm your understanding of these risks by booking our services.

5. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
• Members – Cancellations within 6 hours of session time will incur a $10 cancellation fee.
• Non-members – Weekday cancellations within 6 hours of session time will incur a $30 fee. Weekend cancellations within 24 hours of session time will incur a $30 fee.
• No-show appointments will be charged 100% of the booking fee.

6. Membership Terms
• Memberships are a four-week minimum commitment, after which, members can cancel their membership at any time by emailing hello@aaltocommunity.com.au.
• Membership suspensions require 72 hours written notice and are allowed for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of eight weeks per year.
• Aalto Community reserves the right to terminate memberships at any time without cause.
• Failure to keep up with membership payments will result in termination, and all outstanding debts will be passed on to a third-party debt collection agency.
