Statement
Aalto Community is committed to providing a safe, flexible, and respectful environment for our team members and clients, free from all forms of discrimination, bullying, and sexual harassment and it recognises that it has a positive duty to ensure that all members of the Aalto Community treat others with dignity, courtesy, and respect.
We are also committed to ensuring that our team and our clients exhibit appropriate behaviour and conduct and that any suggestion of inappropriate behaviour or conduct is identified and addressed promptly.
This policy explains the responsibilities of those working in or using our space.
Responsibilities
All those who participate in Aalto Community must ensure that:
- appropriate standards of behaviour and conduct are modelled at all times;
- diversity and inclusivity are recognised and supported;
- others are treated with dignity, courtesy, and respect at all times;
- any decisions made that may impact others are not based on irrelevant personal characteristics;
- Aalto Community is free from all forms of discrimination, bullying, harassment and sexual harassment;
- all interactions between team members, clients and the public are respectful, courteous and polite;
- the Aalto Community space is a place where the welfare and wellbeing of others is promoted to enhance a positive experience for all participants;
- the following must not occur at or near Aalto Community:
- conduct, behaviour or communication which may be perceived to be lewd or tasteless;
- conduct, behaviour or communication which could be considered to be an act of violence, assault or aggression in any form or manifestation; and
- conduct, behaviour or communication which may be perceived to be racist or offensive;
- any inappropriate conduct is identified and promptly brought to the attention of management in a respectful manner (including any inappropriate conduct observed); and
- any complaint about conduct that is inconsistent with this policy must not result in perceived or actual victimisation.
Management reserves the right to address any conduct or behaviour that is inconsistent with this policy at its discretion and in a manner that is consistent with the enforcement of this policy.
